Pablo Reinoso
A franco-argentinian sculptor who was born in Buenos Aires in 1955, Reinoso has been living and working in Malakoff (Paris) for 15 years. Having worked for more than 20 years with the more traditional materials of sculpture, wood, stone and bronze, he has since devoted himself to working with a contemporary and decidedly untraditional sculptural material : parachute and hot air balloon canvass.
These materials, when adjusted to ventilation systems, have multiple qualities, the most striking of which is their transformation into volumes in movement. The air circulates through the light forms with a grand simplicity. These living objects, metaphors of the body and its breath, awaken the senses of the spectator. The works are transformed as they respond to the pulsations, where their colors, rhythms, textures and transparencies assume the forms of cocoons, bodies and embryos.
